It doesn’t happen instantly, yet every man goes through a defining moment. From actively exploring numerous career options, interviewing frequently, and playing with his life to one who has his bearings and is committed to moving forward down that road. Resultant, the styles shift.

But this isn’t the time to pull out the cane and stair lift. There’s no need for guys in professional roles to start wearing baggy, high-waisted stretch trousers and browsing retirement communities. It means that men’s fashion is shifting from the flashy, attention-seeking trends popular among younger men to the understated elegance in a khaki pants outfit that is befitting an accomplished gentleman.

How to dress in your 30’s?

Gradually increase the bar

Learning to dress effectively is simple; you only need a selection of high-quality garments.

Denim is good to have (particularly dark, well-fitting denim), but you should also have plenty of cotton slacks, wool trousers, and khaki pants as an outfit. Wearing a wide range of shades helps you look interesting while yet facilitating a formal appearance.

The same standard of care must be given to shirts. Once you hit your 30s, T-shirts become obsolete outside the gym and manual labor. Become an adult. Most of your casual tops should feature collars. Most of the time, you should dress in clothes that would still look nice with a sports jacket over them when you step outside.

Use colors with discretion

It’s normal to want to dial things back a bit as you get older and more established in life.

Don’t let that discourage you from wearing a rainbow of hues. Though the colors shouldn’t be the focal point of an outfit, a professional’s closet still impacts some of the greatest color combinations for men (it prevents normal workwear from looking uniform).

No rule says you must wear shades of blue and grey when dressing casually. Try on several shirts, jackets, and pants in deep, dark shades like burgundy and forest green.

Try soft pastels like sea foam green and coral pink for a more subdued feel. These color combinations take the classic chinos and button-down shirt combo and make it your own.

Pack on the layers

It only fits that one’s appearance reflects their multifaceted life. Feel free to add some visual “noise” to your everyday attire.

Put money into turtlenecks, cardigans, henleys, vests, and coats to give your upper half more depth. A bonus, incorporating texture into an otherwise minimalist ensemble can elevate the look to a new level. Jackets and pants with visible weaving and shoes and belts with decorative features are excellent choices. You’re supposed to have a good time wearing it, so go ahead and put some silly shapes there.

Gents’ business casual attire

  • Several jackets with interesting textures or patterns. Wear them over a button-down shirt and long pants for an instant style boost.
  • Khaki pants outfit in wool is your go-to bottoms that can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.
  • A respectable stock of polo shirts and long-sleeved dress shirts for informal occasions.
  • The footwear that makes a statement, such as brogues, saddle shoes, chukka boots, or anything else, catches your eye. Tennis and basic black or brown dress shoes should be worn only when playing tennis or attending a business meeting, respectively, and not for casual wear.
  • Unique neckties in various colors, patterns, textures, and shapes. It would be boring to always accessorize with a tie, but it would be a good sign of confidence to wear one on occasion.

Don’t worry much about the clothing. You will rock the game by paying little attention to your purchase and using the tips to know how to dress in your 30’s!!!!
