Before doing scuba diving you need to check all the equipment that is provided by them including the oxygen cylinder,rubber fins,wetsuit,facemask.They will also provide you with a 15 to 20 minutes training session.

Some Dive Sites In Grand Island:
Uma Guma Reef:
This dive site is a wonderful site for every divers.Divers can swim here with the big groupers, tunas, parrotfish,barracuda,triggerfish,surgeonfish,angelfish,porcupine fish etc.Both experts and beginner divers can dive in this site.The total depth of the water is 10 to 14 metres. This is situated about six kilometres from the Grand Island.The underwater features make this site more exciting and beautiful.You can visit this amazing dive site from the month of October to March.
Sail Rock:
Sail Rock is a rocky projection that is located about 1 km south west part of the Grande Island.It has an intensity about eight to twenty four metres.You can explore the amazing marine life here.Swim with moorish,large groupers,sharks,education bannerfish.Diving here is advisable for only expert scuba divers because there is strong undercurrents in the depth of the water.The total depth is 16 to 24 metres.
Shelter Cove:
Shelter Cove is located in the northeast part of the Grand Island.A channel along with rocks boulders,low current,low visibility makes this site more interesting, thrilling and exciting.Here you can see some sandy patches where cuttles and squid fishes come to mate.They lay their eggs in this sandy patch.This site is suitable for all types divers.
Suzy’s Wreck:
Suzy’s wreck is an important dive site for anyone from beginners to advanced divers.This is a part of British cargo ship named SS Rita.In the year of 1950 the southwest face of the Grand Island this ship went down.Now the wreck is in a broken condition.This is 130 metres long ship.This ship is lies in just 5 to 12 metres of water.The total depth is 10 to 13 metres. Now this is a home to many wonderful fishes like batfish and puffers, groupers, squid, moray eels, sweetlips etc.Here you can also see some barracuda.On the deck and railings you can explore the scorpion fishes.
Bounty Bay:
This dive site is located in the northern side of the Grand Island.The total depth is four to eight metres.Here you can explore a variety of marine fishes such as triggerfishes, lobster, many crabs.Sting Rays are also seen in this site.The bottom part of this particular site comprises sand,rocks and gravel.
The Jetty:
The Jetty is located on the northwestern part of the amazing Grand Island.It has a shallow intensity which is not more than 8 metres.Here you can explore sharks.Shallow divers will definitely love this place.
Davy Jones Locker:
In this dive site only experienced divers can dive due to the strong currents in the depth of the water.Here you can dive with many fishes such as moray eels, tuna, mullets and schooling jacks, barracuda. This site is just 14 metres in water and this is an amazing site for expert scuba divers.

Grande Banks:
This is also a dive site which is situated near the Grand Island.This site is popular for a group of rocks which are exposed.Here you can see many Whip corals,table coralsetc.You will explore some butterfly fishes,groupers,Banner fish,puffers here.The total depth is not more than 4 to 8 metres.
